Are You a "Spiritual Redwood"?

Do you wish you were more knowledgeable in your faith, stronger in your prayer, more courageous in your convictions?

Plan to attend our up-coming 8-week course this fall on Growing Spiritual Redwoods.  It's based on the book of the same title by William Easum and Thomas Bandy.

Mark each Wednesday, from September 8 through October 27, at 6:30 for this study.   It should last until 7:30 - 8:00.

Come for Some Coffee - and Fellowship!

Come to the lounge for fellowship before worship begins!  Every Sunday before worship, from 9 - 9:45, coffee and donuts will be offered.

For those who would like to stick around a little longer after worship service, coffee and donuts will be served again in the lounge.  Talk about that day's sermon, relax, and enjoy the smiles of others!

     Prayer Shawl Ministry

Do you like to knit or crochet, or would like to learn how?  Then come join the ladies of ECCC who get together on Monday evenings to make prayer shawls, that are given to patients at Mt. Carmel East.

We meet on the first and third Mondays of the month, from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M., at the church.  Come and join us.  All are welcome!

If you have any questions, call Joan at 476-4031, or e-mail her at zowlsisjoan51@aol.com.

Calling All Shoeboxes

We will once again be participating in a church-wide Operation Christmas Child, where shoeboxes are filled with gifts for children between the ages of 2-14.

Please bring your donations of shoeboxes with lids, and small gifts for children to the church, and deposit them in the large Christmas box in the atrium.

More info to come soon!

 Sunday Morning Bible Study

The pastor shares background information on the biblical text of the day.  Join Andrew every Sunday morning at 9:15, as he digs into various theological concepts.

Stephen Ministry Continues ...

The Stephen Ministry training class at ECCC is now learning about the supervision group that they will be attending after they have been commissioned as Stephen Ministers.  After their training has been completed, Stephen Ministers must meet once/month for review.

Please continue to pray for our trainees, as well as our Stephen Ministry leaders, as they continue to grow and learn these important subjects and how to minister to those in need.

Women's Bible Study

Come join the women of the church on Thursdays, from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m., for bible study.  Participants cover the Old and New Testaments together.  Classes are held at a parishoner's home.  For more information, please call Martha Hays, 868-0496.

Come to the 10:00 worship service first; you will soon be excused to go to the sunday school classes, with the sunday school teachers.

God Still Loves You

Do you feel that you’ve been away from God for too long for Him to accept you back?  Or do you think you’ve done something in the past that would prevent God from forgiving you?

No one is beyond the power of God’s love.  No matter what you’ve done in the past, or how strongly you’ve claimed you would never pray or go to church, God still loves you.

Jesus died for all of us, so that we could have eternal life.  Ask for forgiveness today, and bring God back into your heart.  He’s waiting for you with open arms!

If you would like to talk to our pastor, about anything, please call 861-6220, and our secretary will ask Pastor Andrew to call you!
